A Downtown Elizabeth City, NC Wedding w/ Urban Vibes

Each part of this downtown Elizabeth City wedding showed thoughtful charm, uniqueness, and fun! And, as if a wedding wasn't enough of a celebration, Dave and Anna decided to get hitched on America's birthday. The Independence Day overtones popped up throughout the day in the groomsmen's special flag socks; the groom's American flag shirt sleeves (scroll down to see them after he takes his suit jacket off); red, white, and blue party accessories during the reception; and more!

The day started with bridesmaids getting ready at The River City Lodge's Secret Room, then we headed to Seven Sounds brewery to take pictures of groomsmen.

The indoor ceremony was heartfelt and included a ring warming ceremony, which I witnessed for the first time. The couple's rings were passed from back to front and touched by every guest, with many guests stopping to pray over the rings.

By the time we hit the reception, the crowd was ready to party to the point where dancing began in the buffet line while people were waiting to get their food. (My type of crowd!)

From beginning to end, this wedding was full of special touches and lots of joy that showed the personality of the beautiful couple in the center of it.
