Ever wish you could take family photos without leaving home? Imagine, your kids playing with their toys in their bedrooms for a family photo session instead of posing in a field with a wilting bow and frilly dress. Although the field pictures of your family dressed to the nines are gorgeous, let’s capture the real, everyday moments with an At Home Experience.

What to Expect:

  1. LIGHTING
  2. I will shoot in rooms that are well-lit. We will not use any indoor lighting, so we will choose rooms/spaces with large windows, pull the drapes back, and take some photos!
  3. We will shoot during the day when the sun is out, not in the evenings.
  4. What if the kids are playing so nicely in their darkly lit bedroom? We will move toys into another space so that children can interact with them, and I can capture those moments.
  5. LAID-BACK SHOOT
  6. We are going for natural moments, and though I will prompt you and give you direction, we do not have to nail the perfectly poised picture where everyone is smiling and looking at the camera. This seems to take a lot of pressure off of everyone!
  7. CLEANING
  8. Clean the spaces we will be shooting in to your comfort level. I advise you to clear unnecessary clutter off of tabletops and counters; beds, livings rooms, etc.
  9. Remember, a lot of different prints from bedspreads, blankets, pillows, etc. can distract from the subjects of the photo.
  10. Your whole house doesn't need to be cleaned on my account.
  11. TIME
  12. We take our time with these photo sessions, but once I have a lot of gorgeous footage to work with, I'll wrap it up and let you carry on with your day.
  13. Prepare for a 60-90 minute session
